Dirty Thirties

Current Weight: 319 lbs
Total Loss: 30 lbs
Avg. Loss/Week: 3.75 lbs

I'm in the dirty thirties (for lbs lost)! I'm more relieved than anything to hit another milestone—the belief that this is possible grows stronger with every pound but especially every five or ten pounds.

Here are a couple of meals from this week. Unwiches are my new boyfriend when it comes to healthy lunches and watermelon is just the best fruit God made. End of story.

If you can't tell, Jordan and I have become very involved with our grill this summer. It's kind of our bestie when it comes to healthy cooking without losing any flavor. I'm constantly washing our veggie grill basket and grill tongs. Hooray for summer!

I also got to visit my dear friend, Jessica, last week who made me a delicious and totally en pointe dinner from what she had already had planned for her own dinner (healthy girl!). We went for a lovely 2-mile walk after. The old adage goes "it takes a village to raise a child" and I'm sure that's true, but I'm also starting to believe that it takes a village to keep you healthy. To that end, Jessica is one of the stars of my village and she is ever striving to live the healthiest lifestyle she can at any given time.

Jessican's strength is constant awareness and a "never give up" mentality. She's an inspiration to me in many ways, but especially in how she loves and cares for her body.
